ABOUT THE PRESIDENT

Carlos Javier Avila is the founder and president of CAVILA Tax & Accounting Group. Mr. Avila brings with him over 15 years of experience in prestigious global financial institutions and public accounting firms. His professional expertise is in U.S. and International Tax, Financial Accounting, and Auditing. Mr. Avila's professional background includes executive positions at Ernst & Young LLP and Lloyds TSB Bank PLC in New York City. He is also a veteran in U.S. tax withholding and reporting compliance.

As founder of CAVILA Tax & Accounting Group, Mr. Avila is committed to making his firm a trusted resource for individuals as well as small and medium sized businesses that seek to establish an enduring partnership. As a humanitarian his vision includes community outreach programs that will provide professional financial services to individuals with limited resources.

Carlos Javier graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, where he majored in Accounting. He later graduated with a Master's degree in Taxation from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Florida, New York, and Puerto Rico. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New York Society of CPAs (NYSCPA), Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), and the Puerto Rico Society of CPAs (PRCPA).

Mr. Avila has a personal philosophy; one he incorporates into his life and his career: earn trust and help cultivate the future. It is this philosophy which serves as the foundation and impetus of CAVILA Tax & Accounting Group.
